Pyrex finds

What do I love to do on my lunch breaks, on the way home from work, and as soon as I wake up on weekends? Search for great deals all over! I get the biggest high from finding things that people have donated and cast away. I know there are plenty of others out there like me and I love it! 

I found these beauties all over the place. Some in thrift stores and some in antique collectives. I've been using instagram to share a lot of photos and decided that I should use my dream camera that I purchased in March to shoot some photos too! Here are some recent finds (mostly orange):

I admit it, I am obsessed with Pyrex. I'm spending a lot of time here & here. I've got the same question over and over again. What are you going to do with all of that? I use it! Its in my fridge, decorating my counter and in my cupboards. I make gelato with it, store fruit and snacks in them. They add that pop of color to my table that I'm looking for!

Here is a layout I created using Prima's Rebellious line by Adrienne Looman. This is a page for my June DT work for Everything Scrapp'n. I had a lot of fun playing with this line. It really allowed me to go crazy with cute product. This is a photo of my friends at my Graduation party from May 2007.

A few fun things

I've mentioned in the past that my mom is big on garage sales, especially ones with any garden related treasures.While she was looking, she came across these cool treasures. Jenna got the range finder by Minolta on the left. The large box-like camera on the right is a Graflex 4x5 press camera. These were used by the "paparazzi" of the 1930's-1950's. It is missing the grain glass so it isn't working properly.

The Creative Memories stuff was at a garage sale two houses down from us. When I saw the herma dotto adhesive runner I made my mom buy it. So glad I did because I broke my pretty purple one on Tuesday!

Since I was gone to my retreat during Zena's birthday, we celebrated this past Sunday at A.Sabella's in Fisherman's Wharf. It is closing on November 4th, so it was her last visit. Her mother took her there as a child. It was a beautiful restaurant with a delicious meal. This was our view from the table.
Helen (Zena's mom) and Zena with her birthday desserts. Dan and Linda were also there but I didn't get a chance to take lots of photos. My favorite was the Crème brûlée.
On a totally unrelated note, you know you have a Taco Bell fiend in your family when your sister returns home from class at 9:30am stating that Taco Bell didn't open at 9am like they were supposed to.

Tonight I had the wonderful opportunity to chat on EBB with Wendy Anderson of Making Memories. I had so much fun asking her lots of questions about getting into the industry.

Don't you just LOVE garage sales?

Leo and my mom both love to go to garage sales. Which means I get calls when they find something neat. One day not that long ago my mom was walking during her lunch break and found an enlarger for the darkroom on the street. Of course I made her bring it home! I dream of having my own personal dark room some day. Leo surprised me with a great find as well. He found a really cool Animation book for 50 cents!


Yesterday I saw the movie Finding Neverland. That movie was certainly eye candy. The art director did an amazing job and the special effects were beautiful. I'm quite surprised I didn't hear more about how wonderful the story was. If you haven't seen it, add it to your must see list!

Wednesday I modeled for a fellow photographer, Mr. Gino De Grandis. This was the longest shoot I've done and it was incredibly windy. I think that there will be some fantastic shots coming this way soon. Here is a photo that I was sent to hold me over until I see the rest.


Weather forecasters keep saying its going to rain and I get so excited since we're having a drought. I just love the clouds we've been getting lately! I am so happy I live in such a beautiful place.
